The Thought For The Day: Legitimate
Friday, May 29, 2009
Inspiration: “While there are illegitimate parents, there are no illegitimate children. Many children are unplanned by their parents, but they are not unplanned by God. He never does anything accidentally, and he never makes mistakes. He has a reason for everything he creates.” Rick Warren, The Purpose Driven Life

Inspiration: “While there are illegitimate parents, there are no illegitimate children. Many children are unplanned by their parents, but they are not unplanned by God. He never does anything accidentally, and he never makes mistakes. He has a reason for everything he creates.” Rick Warren, The Purpose Driven Life
Be: (positive confession) I Am Legitimate.
Do: (first steps) Today, embrace your reason for being. Whether you are the product of a carefully devised family blueprint or a complete surprise to your birth parents you are not a mistake (and neither are your children). Someone out there needs your wisdom, your sense of humor, or an insight that only you can bring to the table. You have ideas that must be put forth, statements that have to be made, and ways to better the world we live in. From this day forth affirm the fact that you belong here and your contributions are needed.
Have: (making dreams reality) As I lay hold to the fact that I am part of God’s perfect plan I have the assurance that there is a very specific reason for me to be here at this very moment in history.
Be, Do, and Have the best day of your life! God Bless You!
The Thought For The Day: Fresh

Inspiration: “A fresh mind keeps the body fresh. Take in the ideas of the day, drain off those of yesterday. As to the morrow, time enough to consider it when it becomes today.” Edward G. Bulwer-Lytton
Be: (positive confession) I Am Fresh.

Inspiration: “A fresh mind keeps the body fresh. Take in the ideas of the day, drain off those of yesterday. As to the morrow, time enough to consider it when it becomes today.” Edward G. Bulwer-Lytton
Be: (positive confession) I Am Fresh.
Do: (first steps) Today, develop a fresh perspective on life. That doesn’t mean changing your values or ideals as some might have you think; rather relinquishing that stranglehold you have on all the weighty issues on your mind, doing something productive with the ideas you have been stockpiling, and viewing the future with an attitude of hope.
Have: (making dreams reality) As I keep the current of ideas in my mind steadily flowing, getting rid of the negative and acting on the positive, I’ll have a fresh stream to quench my deepest thirsts.

Inspiration: “Desire, like the atom, is explosive with creative force.” Paul Vernon Buser
Be: (positive confession) I Am Explosive.
Do: (first steps) Today, ready yourself for an explosion of growth. Begin by attaching a positive emotional connection to achieving the goals you set along with the negative sensation that will result if you fall short in your mission. Don’t visualize the completion of a project or some other objective without also considering the benefits it will afford you, your family, or a noble cause. Go beyond the obvious rewards of providing more money or more time; to make the affect real to your subconscious you must be very specific about what the time or money will produce (such as the ability to supply your first child with a college education or saving someone from the ravages of an illness), as well as why that is important to you.
Have: (making dreams reality) As I embed the desire to win in both my subconscious and conscious mind I produce the conditions that unleash creative development and an explosive charge to carry me to my highest pursuits.

Inspiration: “A good objective of leadership is to help those who are doing poorly to do well and to help those who are doing well to do even better.” Jim Rohn

Inspiration: “A good objective of leadership is to help those who are doing poorly to do well and to help those who are doing well to do even better.” Jim Rohn
Be: (positive confession) I Am a Rescuer.
Do: (first steps) Today, use your successes to lift others. Realize that there is someone, probably more than a few, who are counting on what you have experienced to keep them out of danger, shelter them from an oncoming storm, or assist them in rising to heights they never dreamed possible. There is someone close to you in desperate need of a life preserver, be on the lookout for such a person, throw out the line, and help them back into the boat.
Have: (making dreams reality) As I accept the responsibility to assist others in their time of need I will never have a shortage of those who will be there for me in mine.

Inspiration: “Enjoy the little thing, for one day you might find out they were big things.” Robert Brault
Be: (positive confession) I Am Enjoying Myself.
Do: (first steps) Today, find some things you enjoy doing. If you don’t truly enjoy your work or if you dread each new day on the job, start looking for something you can get excited about. It may require some training or an upgrade in your education; a small price to pay for the opportunity to pursue your passion. Develop a hobby or participate in a sport that helps you grow either mentally or physically fitter. While you are at it STOP wishing you were somewhere or someone else. Each person has their own difficulties to overcome regardless of how perfect their life looks from those rose colored glasses. Embrace who you are and what you were put here to accomplish; that’s pretty special too.
Have: (making dreams reality) As I take the time to savor the people in my life and embrace the things I am passionate about I have true wealth according to the observations of the Greek philosopher Epicurus who said its “not what we have but what we enjoy that constitutes our abundance.”

Inspiration: “The harder you throw down a football and good character the higher they rebound.” Author Unknown
Be: (positive confession) I Am a Comeback Kid.
Do: (first steps) Today, stay on the comeback trail. If you have ever faced a slump or are in the middle of one right now remember what the top pros do in similar situations; they get back to basics. Instead of trying quick fixes first review the fundamentals and determine if you have developed any bad habits. If so correct them immediately. Make sure your efforts are still pointing toward your intended target, if not realign, and then take aim at your goals again.
Have: (making dreams reality) As I correct subtle flaws in my approach as they occur I will avoid long term slumps.
Be, Do, and Have the best day! God Bless You!
The Thought For The Day: Near Perfect
Wednesday, May 20, 2009
Inspiration: “To live is to change, and to be perfect is to have changed often.” Cardinal John Henry Newman

Inspiration: “To live is to change, and to be perfect is to have changed often.” Cardinal John Henry Newman
Be: (positive confession) I Am Near Perfect.
Do: (first steps) Today, make changes before changes make you. The second you realize that there are areas of your life that can be further perfected (especially the ones you see as strengths) the more rapidly you will develop into the person you are meant to be. Next, be proactive in addressing those areas, too often people allow little “imperfections” to linger and become big problems down the road instead of correcting them and experiencing the growth that comes with change. Third, once you have made a correction get some feed back from someone you trust and if need be make any necessary adjustments.
Have: (making dreams reality) As I willingly accept the need to make modifications and actually reconstruct my approach to living and interacting with others I will have a life as near to perfect as I can imagine.
Be, Do, and Have the best day of your life! God Bless You!
The Thought For The Day: Momentum Maker
Tuesday, May 19, 2009
Inspiration: “Most of life is routine- dull and grubby, but routine is the momentum that keeps a man going. If you wait for inspiration you’ll be standing on the corner after the parade is a mile down the street.” Ben Nicholas

Inspiration: “Most of life is routine- dull and grubby, but routine is the momentum that keeps a man going. If you wait for inspiration you’ll be standing on the corner after the parade is a mile down the street.” Ben Nicholas
Be: (positive confession) I Am Momentum Maker.
Do: (first steps) Today, create your own forward movement. Instead of relying on others to motivate you find out how to motivate yourself, and then you will be the one who propels others forward. No one should know what makes you tick better than you. Start pushing your buttons. If you need encouragement speak well to yourself. Do you require something to shoot for? Set a new goal. Once you focus your energy the “grubby and dull” will take on a whole new meaning.
Have: (making dreams reality) As I recognize the impact of and employ the habits that build momentum I will accomplish things I never thought possible. (John Maxwell, Leadership Promises for Your Week)

The Thought For The Day: Make-Up Artist
Monday, May 18, 2009
Inspiration: “An apology is the superglue of life. It can repair just about anything.” Lynn Johnston
Be: (positive confession) I Am a Make-up-Artist.
Do: (first steps) Today, if you have screwed up, slipped up, or messed up; own up. There is nothing weak about saying you are sorry, in fact it takes courage to [...]

Inspiration: “An apology is the superglue of life. It can repair just about anything.” Lynn Johnston
Be: (positive confession) I Am a Make-up-Artist.
Do: (first steps) Today, if you have screwed up, slipped up, or messed up; own up. There is nothing weak about saying you are sorry, in fact it takes courage to do so. When admitting wrong do so without excuses (ex. “I am sorry, but…”), express remorse for both the consequences and the motives behind them, and don’t expect immediate resolution on the part of the victim (you may have settled the issue in your mind but they will need time to allow the significance of your repentance to sink in).
Have: (making dreams reality) As I willingly seek forgiveness I open the way for healing relationships and freedom from the tears that are cried over words that were left unsaid.
Be, Do, and Have the best day of your life! God Bless You!
The Thought For The Day: Glad-iator

Inspiration: “Be glad today. Tomorrow may bring tears. Be brave today. The darkest night will pass and golden rays will usher in the dawn.” Sarah Knowles Bolton
Be: (positive confession) I Am a Glad-iator.
Do: (first steps) Today, tear down darkness with gladness. Give away as much of it as you possibly can. Pass it on to the clerk at the grocery store, the waitress who fills your coffee cup, and the agent who collects your bridge toll. A simple smile, a wink, or a handshake are the greatest weapons for defeating anger, bitterness, and sorrow.
Have: (making dreams reality) As I let gladness flood my life and spill over to others I help usher out the gloom and despair and change lives for the better.
Be, Do, and Have the best day of your life! God Bless You!
