I have a lot to say but little time to write, but let me first say that I love the book Shake off the Snake. It took me a while to get the book in my hands because of the fast pace of situations in Iraq; however, once I got the book in my hands it was a great read and truly empowering. I am blessed that I was able to read the book. It was a compliment to the vision I have for my life and God’s plan, in which you must have faith in God’s plan and not to be deterred by Devil’s obstacles. The most powerful line to me was the fact that we are never a victim. Because we have the POWER of the LORD, we have the power to conquer. “God wants to liberate you from the victim mentality. Why else would he call you a more than a conqueror. God wants you to be a force for HIS kingdom, not a punching bag for the enemy.” I honestly, believe that is the first step to success, believing that you have the POWER of the LORD to take hold on your destiny and dreams. All in all, thanks for the book. I am glad that you wrote it, but I am more thrilled at the fact that other people get to read it so that it may change their lives. The Bible is as much of a success book as books by Hill, Wattles, etc. . . Dr Rubano takes key lines and stories out of the Bible and applies them to real life applications (both in his experience and what is happening in the lives of many people). Many people who were raised in a ‘religion of works’ tend to complicate the message of the Bible and all of the “steps” we are supposed to go through to have happiness and be looked favorably in God’s eyes.

I know that God intended me to read it (Shake Off The Snake) right now. The words, your honesty, the scriptures, everything about it has helped to “fast forward” my healing. It opened me up in so many ways. And, then on Sunday, I had my most significant encounter with the Holy Spirit. I was baptized in Him and spoke in tongues for the very first time. Incredible…..
