Music plays a big role in our life. We use it to wake up to and fall asleep to. Drive time and work time would seem lifeless without it; and with the help of MP3 devices we can have sounds filling our ears on the treadmill in the gym, or if we so choose, while pounding the pavement.I am a firm believer in the old adage, “Garbage In, Garbage Out.” What we choose to listen to will have a profound impact on how we feel and the way we look at the world. If we surround ourselves with negative or sad music then it is no wonder a host of negative or depressive emotions follow. By the same token music with a poweful or motivational message can lift our countenance and energize our day to day life. Just Worship
Just Worship is a fantastic compilation of soul stirring songs of devotion. My personal favorite titled “Praise You Now” inspires me to take my eyes off of what I see going on around me and focus on the goodness and mercy of God. If you have difficulty unwinding from a tough day, or find yourself unable to readily enter into God’s presence I have no doubt that this CD is for you. By the same token, if you really love to worship God and desire to draw nearer to HIM you will be right at home and taken to a new level of adoration for the King of Kings.

Mentoring to Go
In “Mentoring to Go” Dr. John Domino provides a resource I highly recommend to parents of High School and College students. One of the things I remember most about my college experience was the fact that the study and time management skills I learned from one of my middle school teachers helped me avoid many of the pitfalls I saw all too many first year students go through. I was lucky, because the tools I gained in her class (Elaine Schoenfeld), were not part of the usual curriculum. They should be, but unfortunately, even in today’s high tech society most students are not adequately prepared for the challenges they will face as they transition to the university or college scene. As a counselor at both FGCU and before that the Air Force Academy Dr. Domino saw first hand the struggles students were having and more importantly developed a proven program for success.
