The Thought For The Day: Fit
Monday, March 30, 2009
Inspiration: Studies have suggested that walking at a brisk pace for three or more hours a week can reduce your risk for coronary heart disease by 65 percent.
Be: (positive confession) I Am Fit.
Do: (first steps) Today, make your heart a priority. Big biceps and a washboard stomach look great on the beach, but neither is a substitute for a healthy heart. . Remember, when doing exercises like walking, running, or elliptical trainers to regularly assess the affect on your most vital organ by taking your pulse rate. (You can find a chart with target heart rates at www.americanheart.org)
Have: (making dreams reality) As I address my heart conditioning I set the stage for better results in my training of other areas. Having a strong heart will eventually translate into better use of oxygen which in turn will help me get more out of my strength and flexibility workouts.
Be, Do, and Have the best day of your life! God Bless You!
This is a great thought! I have used my elliptical for several moths and I can tell that my health in general has improved. I think it is a great exercise to do!
