Inspiration: “Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana”  Groucho Marx

Be: (positive Confession) I am Fruit- Full.

Do: (first steps) Today, eat a minimum of 7 servings of fruit and vegetables. Though, science has tried bottling the essential nutrients found in apples, oranges, kale, rhubarb, and brussel sprouts the truth is that no packaged vitamin can compare to the synergistic value found in a whole food source.  Dating back to 1991, The National Cancer Institute recommended a minimum of 5 servings a day of fruits and vegetables, finding that those who ate 9 servings daily (4 fruit/5 vegetable) effectively decreased their risks of high blood pressure, heart disease, certain types of cancer, and diabetes (all diseases that are on the rise).  Here are a few things to keep in mind as you go for 9. 1.  Eat Organic when possible, for higher nutrient content and to reduce the risk from harmful pesticides 2.  Even when buying raw produce, be sure to thoroughly wash them in clean water.  3. Its not as much as it sounds like!  A large salad can equal 3 servings while one serving can be met with a medium piece of fruit. 4. Mix it up! Be sure to get a variety of colors in your diet.  Different colors carry different nutrients; for example the yellow and orange foods tend to be a good source of Vitamin A and C, while green leafy vegetables tend to offer more iron and Vitamin K.

Have: (making dreams reality) As I include more raw fruits and vegetables in my daily meal routine I will probably find that while time flies it will take longer for it to track me down!

Be, Do, and Have the Best Day of Your Life! God Bless You!
